On March 30th 2024 I had a stroke. This happened during the MoH party. I spent 5 days in the hospital in Den Bosch, 5 days in Almelo, and then I was transferred to Roessingh, where I’m still staying. In the beginning, I could hardly speak at all and was only able to say “yes” and “no.” Speaking is coming back, and typing is going fairly well too. Language is still quite a task, but we’re making progress. As for my arm and leg, we’ll have to wait and see how they recover. I’ve received so many lovely cards, thank you so much for that! Much appreciated!
It’s now 1.5 years later, and I’m still in therapy. The right side of my body is paralyzed, and my leg, arm, and hand don’t work the way they should. Progress is very slow—but progress is progress. I’m able to make and play music again, and I’m grateful for a loving woman who stays by my side despite everything we’ve been through.
